BEST, Board of European Students of Technology, is a constantly growing non-profit and non-political organization. Since 1989 BEST has been providing communication, cooperation and exchange opportunities for students all over Europe.
97 Local BEST Groups (LBGs) in 34 countries are creating a growing, well organized, powerful, young and innovative student network. More than 3300 members are involved in the day-to-day development of our services and almost one million students are reached through our events and initiatives.
BEST promotes “Empowered diversity” and helps European students of technology become more internationally minded, by reaching a better understanding of European cultures and developing the ability to work and volunteer in a global environment. Technical students are given the opportunity through BEST courses and Engineering Competitions to broaden their knowledge in topics which complement their engineering education. This also creates the context in which members of the organization can share knowledge and gain experience by organizing these events.
On the other hand, BEST strives to broaden the job market horizons by giving opportunities through career-related events (job fairs, company days, workshops) and an international career center. Finally, BEST has developed its own internal training system, to better sustain the organization; therefore, its members have also the opportunity to improve their skills and knowledge by participating in training events.
